Ophthalmologist in Roslyn Heights: Dr. Michael Politi DO FASRS

Dr. Politi is dedicated to providing the highest quality comprehensive eye care, including expert retinal services and state-of-the-art cosmetic treatments for his patients. As a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained retinal specialist, he offers a range of ophthalmologic services such as routine eye exams, dry eye treatment, glaucoma assessments, cataract evaluations, and management of various eye conditions. His expertise as a retinal specialist allows him to effectively treat conditions like age-related macular degeneration, retinal tears, detachments, and hereditary diseases affecting vision in both children and adults. Utilizing the latest technology, Dr. Politi performs many procedures in-office, including intravitreal injections and laser surgery specifically for macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. He also has a passion for aesthetics, specializing in Neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin), Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections, fillers, and cosmetic lasers, alongside the latest non-surgical blepharoplasty techniques, such as the subnovii method. 

Affiliated with St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, New York, Dr. Politi is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists. He also contributes to his community as a New York State Trooper Surgeon and serves as an Associate Professor at Touro University School of Health Sciences. With years of experience in private practice in Nassau County, he has also worked at the Brooklyn Eye Center, where he completed his Fellowship training in Diseases of the Retina and Vitreous, as well as his Ophthalmology Residency where he was Chief Resident. As a proud Long Islander from Bellmore, Dr. Politi has actively volunteered in his community, previously serving as an EMT-Critical Care and as a volunteer firefighter, along with his experience as an EMT in the FDNY NYC 911 EMS system. 

Residing in Roslyn with his wife and son, Dr. Politi enjoys art, playing sports, hiking, skiing, boating, and other outdoor activities. His personal interests also include cooking, golf, travel, and quality time with family and friends. Fluent in English and conversational in Spanish, Dr. Politi strives to deliver the finest comprehensive eye care and retinal services in a welcoming environment, believing in the importance of patients understanding their eye conditions and being active partners in their eye health.
